Maryam Bibi widmet ihr Leben der Verbesserung der Lebensumstände der Frauen und Mädchen in den extrem konservativen Grenzprovinzen Pakistans. Ihrer Arbeit muss sie nun unter der zunehmenden Gefahr von Drohnenangriffen der US-Armee nachgehen. Für ihre Tapferkeit und ihren Einsatz wurde sie bereits für den Friedensnobelpreis nominiert – und bekam jetzt von der York University einen Doktortitel verliehen. (1224 Wörter) - Von Alasdair Soussi
